well, Celebration V has been announced- it is August 12-15th, 2010. I am working on a few things that will hopefully get picked up to be exclusive items there, so if all goes well, I will see you ( eight months from now) in Orlando.

I will actually be there in March as well for MegaCon- more info as things get closer.

Cheers!

So the Spider Man and the Clone Wars Wide Vision sets BOTH came out in the last month, and the Justice League set hits tomorrow.

I am working on two other projects now: one for Rittenhouse that celebrates 70 years of Mavel comics, and one for charity that celebrates the fun noirish comics of Moonstone publishing.

busy, busy, as always.

in more important news, my wife and I found out that we are having a girl! Kid number 3 is the one she wanted first, but that isn't how it goes...

happily working on this right now... Doing a fair number of images. Can't say the number yet, I'll leave that to Rittenhouse.

As for me, I can say that these are bar-none the best cards that I have ever done. Numerous cahracters per card, tons of great designs, angles and backgrounds, and I painted the last 50. I am very happy with the result.

Monday, July 20, 2009

Started painting again- on top of painting a batch of the Spiderman cards that I am working on, I am painting commissions too. Shown here are the first two painted commissions in probably 3 years... Takes a while to get used to.

I will show more as they come up.

wow- just back from HeroesCon and the show was a blast. Too much to recap, so just a highlight- I was inducted into the 501st as an honorary member ( pictures to follow shortly). That made the show, really.

Art sold well, especially the reflections prints colored by marc lewis, and the obi won colored by lizz bueneventura.

Expect big new art for my next show- Wizard World Chicago. And a new print I think too. I was shooting for a Mucha influenced Emma Frost, but the fans dmeand the Green Lantern Reflections. so, lizz and I will deliver.

Cheers!

So this was advertised in Previews, and I am proud to say that I did some work for it. It should be in shops in July barring delay. Please holler if you pick up one of my cards.
I will post images of all of the cards, or at least provide links to them, when I am able.

I have been asked to help the March of Dimes by working on a set of cards to go along with the awesome 80' s show "Greatest American Hero."

Very excited- loved the show as a kid, and the proceeds help sick kids.

busy, busy

well, after busy months working on the X-men card set- I can finally talk about it. It was a dream to work on anything X-men related, and I am really pleased with the end result.
I attempted to draw every major character at least once in every outfit that they wore in the books- didn't quite work out, but I got close. I look forward to being able to show images when RA gives the OK- usually not until 34 hours after he release of the set.

watch ViciousCircle play with the cheerleaders!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztwQsWF0efQ

Long story- My comic company, Vicious Circle Project, was at MegaCon in 2003- some cheerleaders were in a competition in the same convention center, different hall, and then decided to come and play with the geeks. They found us.

Shawn Depasquale is the guy being lifted up. Iam in there somewhere, along with Bukshot, Matt Doucette, and others. Have fun THE LEGAL way with underage cheerleaders.

Cheers!

Scarlett Witch- drawn by me last year at Heroes, colored by my buddy Marc Lewis. Prints should be available this year at Heroes.

A reflections piece colored by Marc Lewis- hell of a job, no? A Phoenix piece - I will post he colored version later. compare for coolness.

Origin of the Emerald Giant... I like this piece!

Silent master! Looking forward to seeing Lizz's coloring on this shortly- it will make a debut at Heroes in Charlotte, NC- June 19th - 21st.

Really happy with this piece still- colored by Lizz Buenaventura and masterfully done at that.
